One of the latest sites that I am writing for is Examiner. While I have only been there a couple of days, and only have three articles posted, I am already seeing income trickle in.
The concept behind Examiner is unique. Each writer on the site is called an Examiner, and they pretty much columnists. When you apply to write a column, and you will focus on that topic only. There are local examiners and national examiners. For instance, I am the National Beauty Tips Examiner. Some choose to work as a local examiner, like Chicago Women’s Style Examiner, or Boston Pet Examiner.
The site takes a handful of things into consideration with regard to income. For instance, page views are a huge part of it, but ad revenue can also be a factor. While my income so far isn’t enough to tell, some writing colleagues report that they earn about $10 per 1,000 page views, give or take a little.
For some perspective, the average share per 1,000 page views is about $2, sometimes $3. So this site has some serious promise. Especially if you get signed up now, before all the hot topics are taken! Not to mention the fact that Examiners also get free business cards and assistance gaining press passes to events in their area!
So if you are interested in becoming an Examiner, click on that link. If you would like to give me credit for the referral, my referral code is 4687!

It has been going very well for me and it continues to be a top earner in my content categories. There is a lot of freedom in what you can write (reviews, opinion, how-to, etc), and that flexibility is wondering. You can also use affiliate marketing, which makes the earnings even better.
I’ll put it this way: Last month with Examiner, by combining content and a few strategic affiliate programs (I don’t like to overload them and use them when they make sense), I made over $800 in my first month.
The average pay seems to hover .01 per page view, or $10.00/1000 views. You’d have a hard time finding another content-oriented site that will match that with the same flexibility.
Just wondering how this opportunity has been going for you. Is there much income potential? I was just offered a position as a Local Examiner and am still undecided.
