All writers should consider creating their own independent income by blogging. Money made with your own blog is better than a revenue sharing program because it is all yours. You are cutting out the middleman and earning the money on your own.
I am not suggesting that you abandon article writing or quit your day job. Niche blogs that make money take time to build. They won’t make you rich overnight or bring in gobs of cash right away. But, with a solid plan of action, anyone can find a niche that can make them money. In fact, I make my own full-time income with niche blogs.
Finding a niche is not difficult, but it does require having a solid plan of attack. Like any business, you can not just jump in blindly and expect to get amazing results. Getting money from your blog will take some work and time. So many people think they should be able to get money from nothing. And sadly, they fall prey to scams and gimmicks and end up LOSING money.
Before you begin to research the possibility of creating your own niche blog, start to think about the time and the energy you can commit to the process of blogging for money. Unlike article sites, blogging for money requires being able to write on your own site on a regular basis. You have to keep fresh content coming, or you lose readers. And losing readers means losing money.
Do you have a spirit that keeps you going, even though results aren’t immediate? Do you have drive to succeed and can you learn from your mistakes? Can you self-regulate to make sure you are always working toward building your site?
Taking an in-depth look into what you are capable of and your attitude toward hard work is the first step in deciding whether or not to start a blogging for money. If you feel that you have drive, initiative and a positive attitude, as well as an aptitude for hard work, research and the persistence to keep going, then niche blogging is likely a great option for you.
